Description
Fitting a top-tier chip into a portable body is the whole idea behind the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max. Apple introduced it in March 2026 as the successor to the 14-inch M4 Max. The update brings the M5 Max with its 18-core CPU and Neural Accelerators in the GPU, faster SSDs, 2TB of base storage, Thunderbolt 5 on all three USB-C ports and Wi-Fi 7.

Who it’s for
Video editors, photographers on location and engineers who move between office, studio and travel will appreciate getting M5 Max performance in a bag-friendly size. Keep in mind that a smaller chassis has less room to dissipate heat, so very long full-load renders are where the 16-inch model has an edge.
What to check before you buy
- Verify the chip and GPU count in the title and the photos of the box label; some sellers list Pro and Max models under the same heading.
- Look for a sealed retail box, not an opened or display unit described as new.
- Confirm the memory and storage, since custom configurations carry their own part numbers.
- Check the keyboard language and whether the seller ships to your country.
- Be wary of prices far below other listings and read how to spot fake eBay listings first.
