Description
Before the M5 Pro arrived, the 14-inch M4 Pro was the go-to choice for professionals buying a compact MacBook Pro. Released in November 2024, it brought Thunderbolt 5, 24GB of memory as standard and a brighter SDR display compared with the M3 Pro generation. New, sealed stock is still common, often from large retailers clearing inventory.

Who it’s for
If you need fast external storage, more GPU cores than a base chip offers and you do not care about Wi-Fi 7, this model delivers strong value. Its 512GB base storage is the main limit, so heavy media users should look for a 1TB configuration or plan on an external SSD.
What to check before you buy
- Check whether the listing is the 12-core or 14-core M4 Pro; both use the same chassis.
- Ask how long the seller has had the stock and confirm the warranty is unactivated.
- Compare storage carefully, since 512GB and 1TB versions are often mixed in search results.
- Prefer sellers who describe the box as factory sealed and accept returns.
- Read our eBay safety checklist before buying any laptop.
