Description
With the EOS R6 Mark III, launched in November 2025, Canon raised resolution in its popular R6 line from 24 MP to 32.5 MP. That sensor, shared with the EOS C50 cinema camera, also unlocks internal 7K RAW recording and open-gate capture, while the electronic shutter reaches 40 fps. Canon kept the familiar R6 handling and battery, which makes the upgrade easy for current owners.

Who it’s for
The R6 Mark III suits photographers who shoot weddings, events, sports and family life and want a step up in detail, plus video creators who need RAW and open gate without buying a cinema camera. Canon RF lens owners on older R bodies are the obvious upgraders.
What to check before you buy
- Confirm Mark III in the title; the R6 Mark II is still widely listed and looks nearly the same.
- Body-only and kit listings are mixed together, so check what lens, if any, is included.
- Grey-import bodies are often sold without a US or Canadian manufacturer warranty, so ask the seller which warranty region applies.
- Read our guide to spotting fake eBay listings if a price looks far below other sellers.
